Blackheath family home

Client profile

My clients had originally planned a

large extension to the back of the house which had, for several reasons to be scaled back. They wanted a light airy space which was a cosy family spot for day to day life and an inviting space to entertain

Design brief

The starting point for this project was to take a design we had completed and adapt it to a smaller space in such a way as to maintain as much of the storage and functionality as possible. We agreed to refine the wish list and acknowledge that there would need to be a degree of compromise. Based on this we established a hierarchy of their wish list and from there re worked the the original to allow for the most important element.
