Client profile
My clients are a young professional couple who were embarking on a major basement renovation which they wanted to be a show stopper which blended their love of natural warm materials with plenty of storage to create a space they could enjoy for more intimate cosy times as well as for large gatherings with family and friends.
Design brief
In establishing a design brief it became very clear that my clients wanted both the warm and intimacy of nature as well as the strength and presence of industrial style interiors, they also wanted high end functionality and for the space to be adaptable in terms of use and storage.
Statement of intent
​Having listened to my clients preferences and knowing how they wanted the new space to work and look I proposed a walnut veneer door throughout blended with reeded glass a Dekton surface warm metals tones complemented with brushed brass handles and fittings. To create a wow and provide extensive storage I drew up a bespoke walk in larder in the corner which our team built on site.
